Need to buy a house in and around tambaram

Iam planning to buy a house in and around tambaram with the cost of around 6 lakhs.

since I am back to Chennai after a long time, am not able to decide which area will be ideal for us, ...and ...economical to buy a flat.It is going to be mostly for investment purposes, though, we might consider moving there if the need arises.My budget is only around 10 to 12 lakhs.Is it practical? ( my doubt is because of the feedback of a good friend.!!!) Or, if.. as ranjuma1 has written, we can get something in that price range, we will be too happy to go ahead.Any suggestion is welcome.Thanks.

Sorry to be the one to tell you this but at 6 lacs you cannot get anything inside of guduvanchery these days. may be in some locality where there is no proper facilities or if there is some desperate selling you can get a single bedroom flat at this rate.
