Suggestion on buying house in medavakkam

Hi,

I am looking for buying a house in medavakkam, pillaiyar koil street by Raga foundation. Its about 0.6km from inside medavakkam arch(near medavakkam market place).

I and my father have been looking around for houses for a long time..in south chennai. Even the suburbs are costly now...Near sholinganallur they are telling 4200rs/sqft. I will not get loan for that amount considering a 1000sq house. We have thought of this area-Medavakkam after seeing so many places but just want to check if there are any potential problems in this area before we commit to put in our hard earned money.

Can anyone please suggest on how the area is in terms of
Security,water facility, investment etc?

Anyone facing any problems in residing Medavakkam so far? Please let me know.

Also is 0.6km a large distance I should worry about?
