I think there are few flats still left. construction is going on full swing. have you visited the place??

there are lot of projects in that area.

Hi Deepika,

As shanthi said the construction is almost over and the builder says the entire project will be handed over before pongal. But i doubt if anything is left.I know that 1BHK is available for which he is ready to give in much more lower price.Do enquire 9884393011 kavithalaya builders for availabilty. Check it out and let me know.

Little busy. DH has been to chennai for diwali. and then the fever that is doing the rounds...

No probs.What happened to your loan. what is the interest rate?? just curious.

Sbi has removed the 8% loan off the market as of yesterday.

i cross that project when i visit bhuvaneswari temple. it is coming up good. not visited inside.

RE is picking up in chennai. there is not much down trend other than in omr.. everybody talks of re crash, re bubble.

so you will be having your grihapravesh in jan?? all the best.

The loan was from HDFC 9%(under 25 lac bracket).It got sanctioned a little later than usual as they have to check our details across borders.

Hmm... removal of 8%interest rate by SBI is a new news to me.Then i can expect increase in my interest too atleast in the next quarter.

So, Is Bhuvaneshwari temple over there?

im eager to pay a visit there (though its a small house i just fell in love)but rightnow no special plan ....So sadly my home has to wait for me until june.

i think the market will wait for a few months before they increase the interest again. 9% is a good bargain. heard that the new rules will mean that you have to re register the documents in the name of the bank. there are too many double sales, double documents, double mortgages...

i definitely anticipated the removal of 8% after the elections in all the states..

the prepayment penalty clause will be removed, allowing the borrower a better option..

yes bhuvaneswari amman temple is nearby. say within 1km range. a very beautiful amman.
don't bother about the size, I strongly believe a house is a home because of the people in it rather than the size and the things inside.

Re register the document?? The bank collected Rs. 5600 for stamp paper .... (not a refundable) and got a sign from POA.They claim that only as security.He didnt mention about re-registering.

When everyone around me comment that the house will accomodate only 2+ comfortably without understanding my requirement,neccessity, affordabilty, you are the first one to compliment me. Yes i too belive in your way.

Yes i think that is for the stamp paper for registering the docs in the name of the bank. 5600 is the rate for <25lacs i think.

my first flat the one i am now staying is a two bedroom only. an 820sq.ft, but in my case it was built by our own mama, so had a little considerations of placing shelfs and things. i now feel a little packed because FIL wants a room separate and me having a D and S, i would love to have one more room.


People always say that deepa. it is how comfortable you are about repaying a loan, or stretching your budget that counts. A planning that means you will not feel burdened is what is needed when the kids are growing and you need to invest for the kids studies too.

people tell me that i am being foolish by not having a car and driver(i am not allowed to drive). i calculate a car at 3lacs, a driver at 7000 (not sure about integrity and honesty) and maintenance and petrol at 3000 makes it almost 10k + tension and stress. this way, i call a taxi/call taxi or auto when needed and i am free.
