    hi incharge,
it was nice to read your DIY thread and also to see the photos in this thread...:cheers

u didnt send the picture of the kitchen ??

how much place needs to be left outside the house for trees and plants ?

btw, what is DIY - do it yourself ?? am i correct ??

i liked ur bullet points that said about the special features of ur house - the exhaust fan in BR, solar heater, rainwater harvesting and sitting and storage window sill -- all are superb !!

but buying all the stuff urself -- wow that must have been quite a humongous job !!

    Hi Hemadurga,
Thanks for your FB.Yes the kitchen pictures are yet to be uploaded as some work in the kitchen needs to be completed.
As for leaving space around the house, each municipality has its own by laws about it.We have kept more space on one side that is entrance side for parking vehicles than other three sides.
Yes DIY is Do it yourself.
Thanks again for noting the bullet points.
We used to be out every saturday surveying and buying the materials.Internet and various exhibitions also helped us in this. It was a huge job. We do not realise how many things are required in building a house unless we do it ourselves.

Wow, incharge. This is a beautiful home, what I love the most is that it is so clean and looks really modern. The swing in the verandah is so inviting. I can imagine you sitting with a cup of coffee every morning.

Great job! Enjoy your new home. :)

Would love to see some of the interiors, kitchen and bedrooms.
