tips on home decore

Hi Meenakshi,
I stay in an appartment home and its a good spacious appartmrnt but my only problem is my bedroom. Its a rectangular one. One side has a wall to wall closet while opposite to that is the big window. Then the door to this room is in the middle of the house. I have one Queen size bed, two wooden chest, one dresser mirror and one chair with a small working table to for small paper work purpose......
So, I have placed everything near the walso that the center area will be free for moving. But I don't like this arrangement somehow......and most of our time we stay in our living room or the study cum TV room......and except for sleeping.....we don't have any intersest to enter to that room.
Please suggest some changes so that the Master BR will be little more cosy for us.

pls give us some interior tips..like what colors to choose for the interiors and how to decorate the rooms
