Default Carpet Stairs

Hey Guys,

I don't have a big foyer, so immediately after the entrance, stair starts..... Because of this, that particular stair piece gets dirty so soon..

How are you guys maintaining the carpet that's too often accessed and spoiled

I do vaccum every week.. but I feel like I need to steam vaccum .. which is not possible [I cant keep that place off people ;) ]

Please pour in your thoughts...

1. You can buy carpet cleaner in bottle , Resolve brand is good. This is good for spot cleaning. You just put some of the foam on the carpet, scrub and the carpet is clean. This is what the bottle looks like, you can find it at walmart or local grocery store.

2. I bought a smaller piece of carpet (they call it a carpet runner in usa - a carpet that is longer than it is wider) and place it in the high use area such as stairs. They also sell a clear plastic version of this runner. Here is an example from walmart.

Walmart.com : Canopy Tufted Border Runner, Rich Brown : Decor

Hope this helps!

Hi Nandhu,
You get a strain blocker from home depot. You can just spray this liquid where ever you want after you vaccum this place. One spray will be good enough for couple of months.

Regards.
