Hi Ranganayaki,

First of all, FS is not a quick fix. There are a lot of simple things to understand and follow in FS, before u start seeing the results. Simple thing as decluttering the house, purifying ur space, and following the 5 element formula of FS is the first thing to do.
And then u could start placing the cures in ur house.

If job is ur main concern now, try and spruce up ur North of ur house or living room(if north falls in other rooms like bedroom or kitchen), with water features, the colors black and blue, and things made of metal.

The basic rule of FS is that all of us are born with 1/3 luck (Heaven Luck), the remaining 1/3 luck (man luck) depends on what kind of people we are (kind, generous etc.) and the last 1/3 is the FS luck which we ca alter by following FS.

And then u could start placing the cures in ur house.

The 5 element theory of FS is based on the constructive and destructive cycles of metal-water-earth-wood-fire. According to FS we divide the area of the house into 9 grids called the bagua. Each of these 9 grids has its element, number, color etc. And it is based on the 4 Cardinal (EWSN) and 4 Non-Cardinal (N/E S/E, N/W, S/W) and the centre of the house. Keeping this in mind, we plot the directions and place the right element in the right direction, as much as we can, to create a balance. FS is all abt. living in harmony with the nature.

Coming to purifying! The basic rule of FS is to clean, de-clutter the house, and then purify the house buy putting rock salt for 24 hrs. and then disposing it off. Then u burn either sage or incense, ring a bell all around the house, and cleanse and purify the space.

Apart from rock salt cleansing..how often should the other cleansing methods be used..(incence,sage,ringing bell)

Hi SS,

There is no hard and fast rule for that, do it when u feel the need for it. I do it once in 3 or 4 mths. But I do the Rock salt once in a mth. atleast, just to clear the house of all negative energies, since many people visit, and u do not know the kind of energy each carries.
