    great u liked them!
    as for the colour combination, always use dark bright jewel colours on a v light pale back ground- here i have used jade green, ruby red on a pearl grey back ground. also using bright colours gives it an ethnic look!

    as for being tempted, u should try doing it immediately - jayashree has post a v clear and comsise thread about how to do kasuti from scratch! here is the link in case u havent checked :

    As requested by some of the ILites, I am posting instructions for Kasuthi embroidery.

    There are 4 types of stitches in Kasuthi which is a 1000 years old art originating in the Chalukyan times. This is a counted thread embroidery done on even weave fabric.

    see, the use of vivid jewel tones on a light background colour lends a certain ethnicity to the product!
