Embroidery : Aari Work on Saree

hi frnds
while browsing the net .i saw one saree it it very nice so i want to do tht work by my self.they used only chamkies no thread work at all.can any body give tips or designs for tht type of work.please.

u have selected an amazing design. i think this is aari work. please check aari/maggam embroidery books thread where vishnu has posted her blog id. u can check that for tutorial of aari work.
if u r not comfortable u can stitch the chamkis with the help of stem stitch. check out embroidery sites thread for instructions.

u can do chamki work with chain stitch or stem stitch,

u can do

1. 2 stem stitches and put one chamki 2 stem stitches one chamki and so on according to ur design.
2. u can also do chain stitches and put chamki
3.kundans for the flowers.

Hi Archu,You can do chain stitch alternately inserting a chamki so that it overlaps and you get the same look as in aari.
