My dear hobbies, arts and craft enthusiasts, All of your handicraft works are beautiful and amazing. Besides creating, you are all sharing your works and know how with each other thus encouraging one another in the passion for these hobbies. Some are highly talented judging by the number of postings here. I have a request to make to all of you. This forum is one of the busiest in IL. The number of threads and posts are a clear proof of this. Some members open new threads to share their handicrafts. For example, Rajivenugopal has several threads to showcase her embroidery work. Instead, if it were all clubbed under one thread, it will be easier to refer to. This will promote exchange of thoughts and discussions between members with the same hobby interests. Before opening a new thread, please be advised to check out if there are already threads existing on the same hobby or craft and post under that thread. This will add to the efficiency of the whole forum, enabling the interested ILites to follow their particular hobby with ease and provides better visibility and access to one and all. Please note that some of your threads may be merged and grouped together from here on to streamline this forum. Your cooperation towards this will be appreciated and thanks to all of you in advance. Note: You are welcome to post your hobbies, arts and crafts work here and exchange feedbacks. If you intend to make monetary benefits by teaching those works to other members here, you need to approach us for starting a sponsored thread. No self-promotional posts of the classes you conduct are allowed for FREE. Refer our Fourm Etiquette on self-promotional posts - www.indusladies.com/fe Regards, The IndusLadies Team (Admins & Moderators)

The issue of clubbing and merging is an appropriate action to be taken especially for this forum, because, many threads are coming up and in this process many are lost into background. It may be easy to create either by username who have created the thread or by the topic like embroidery, paintings, sewing, designs mehendi etc. This decision is a wise one resulting in efficient management.

Thank you Sushmavarala for your prompt response. This forum has already got too many posts spread out in too many threads. It certainly will need a lot of effort to get things straightened and everyones' cooperation will be highly appreciated. L, Kamla

Hello, it is good that threads with similar hobbies are to be clubbed under one group, which will be easier to browse.I welcome the new development, and assure my fullest co-operation in this regard.

Dear Kamla, good of you to take this decision. Members open new threads for each work and it makes the number of threads large. And it also makes it difficult to view the same person's other work also. I hope all craft enthusiasts would take this into consideration and act accordingly.

Dear Vidu29, rajivenugopal, Kaluputti and Varloo, Thanks for this acknowledgement. If members partaking in this forum can read the initial post and follow, it surely will be a blessing for all the hobby/craft enthusiasts. Let's hope all do! L, Kamla

Hi Kamla, but my experience shows otherwise.I do paintings, and initially when I was not well versed with posting, threads etc., I had posted a few more pictures under my first thread but there were few responses.I felt that our friends here would show interest in new threads more easily, and hence posted my third installment of paintings in a separate thread with a different heading, which received better response. The point is that whether the thread starter adds posts or the thread receives comments, it will be shown under the 'new posts'.. and if they have already read that thread, people will not be tempted to open it at all....unless it is a hot issue.Commenting on a work and participating in a discussion are totally different. This is my opinion, and I would appreciate if I am given some direction regarding this. Thank you,
