Dear Kaluputti,

Thanks for this post and for explaining your views so clearly. As of now, the thread count is going beserk in this forum. Clubbing them under one thread has its advantages too.
Having said that, we will surely look into this more deeply and try to come up with something that will be of benefit to all the ILites.

The point is that whether the thread starter adds posts or the thread receives comments, it will be shown under the 'new posts'.. and if they have already read that thread, people will not be tempted to open it at all....unless it is a hot issue.Commenting on a work and participating in a discussion are totally different. This is my opinion, and I would appreciate if I am given some direction regarding this.

Thank you,

Dear Kamla

Thats really a nice idea to club all the same hobbies posts under one single thread........most of the time , so many new threads go unnoticed due to limited time
Thanks a lot and i too appreciate you for this efforts

Dear Kamala,
It is a good idea to club all the similar hobby threads into one, we can refer to older posts also in one single threa and none of the new posts will be missed if all are in onsingle thread.

Thanks,
Ambika.

Hi Kamla,I have analysed the entire content of the forum and found that basically, we could create subforums for 1. Knitting 2. Paintings which will contain, nib painting, glass painting etc 3. Photography 4. Dance 5. Music 6. RajiVenugopal Works 7. Prabhabala Works 8. Design Patterns 9. Tailoring,Sewing 10. Art Crafts Jewellery Materials 11. Pencil Arts 12. Jewellery 13. Rangoli-Kolams-Muggulu 14.Decoration 15. Embroidery .
This I am suggesting after sorting and listing out 95% of the threads in this forum. I have an excel sheet in which I have done. I do not know how to attach the file. One more thing which I would like to suggest is if there are more than some n number of threads(useful and valid) then a seperate subforum could be created. For example, RajiVenugopal, Prabhabala, Maddie ashukrishna have more than 5 threads each which have been created by them..
Please let me know your thoughts on this. I have addressed it to you because I understand you are the moderator for this group. If i have violated any of the code conduct of this forum, by performing this analysis, then please excuse me. I have done this purely out of concern for making this forum more organised.
