Jewellery Making : Chains with Pendents

Hi Friends,

I have attached the first ever chain that I made today. I have used garnet beads alongwith silver beads. The pendant is a gift that I had got. It has small diamonds (like the ones you get in Gili etc). So tried to mix and match everything into this simple chain. I prefer very simple ones and not the heavy ones. In fact this matches with one of my sarees too. . I am yet to make the earrings for this. Will show case when I do it.

I am not an expert as compared to most of you here.

I guess, you have now started making your own jewelery. I absolutely love d garnets and the pendant. It is looking so pretty. You can also post the jewellery you made, when you learnt jewellery making!! I presume, you are the same Sunitha who learnt from me and soundarya!!

It wonderful, even I have a garnet set. Now I got the idea of how to mend them. R the balls are pure silver? Where we will get them?

I have used real silver beads / balls. I bought them in GRT Silversmith here in chennai. The silver beads are not very easily available in Chennai. I do not know about bangalore. Maybe you can enquire and let me know.

YOu get many varieties of jewel making supplies in Silver in US. Wish I had learnt this art before so that I could have bought them when I was in US.
