Craft Works : Ideas for preparing Chart for Ocean animals school projects

Hi ,
I'm preparing a chart for Ocean animals.I'm looking for some creative ways to present this.I was thinking about using grains but not sure if it will fall from chart.If any body has any other ideas pleas let me know.

I assume it is for a school project.

I think you could use cotton wool or thermocol cut into the same shape, in case of thermocol u can carve the scalings and all...and then paint them. either paint them individually and then stick to the chart or stick the shapes and then paint them accordingly. u could also use the shells that are available on the beaches to give a natural look...just a idea.

if it is for school project then what shanvy suggested is a very idea of using thermocol pieces for animals ,it is less work ,less expensive ,light weight ......better to color first and then paste it on sheet for neat look and for water (ocean) u can use blue painting ......pulses may not remain intact after sometime.and it is more strenoes work i feel........

you are welcome. Do post your end product here. could work as a guide to somebody. just had an idea, there are pictures for coloring with the sea, ocean in the web. you could just print and cut the shapes or draw using them as reference.

If it is for school project as others suggested use carved thermocal for body structure and u can paste strands of polythene sheets on top of them as they will imitate water. Just a tot.............
