Craft Works :Doormat from Gunny Bag

In the latest issue of Avalvikatan Tmt. Vasantha Vijayaraghavan had given instructions to prepare doormat out of waste gunnybag.
It does found a very good idea. I tried it up. But she has finished it with crochet work all the corner. I doesnt know crochet work. So i left as it is. If want ordinary cloth can be used as border for four sides .
I made it with a gunnybag available in my house and done the kolam design by woolen thread that is also available in my home. For the backside i used the faded cushon cover. It is really a very good doormat to used it with without spending any penny.
Anybody can try it. very easy and useful also.

this has been in my home from my school days, as we need a lot more gunny bags during rainy days so dad the minute he sees me will say please upgrade our midiadi with your art, and i used to start stitching all over and do up some cross stich even fabric painting, and whatever comes to my mind, thanks for reminding me of those day...sunkan

Very very simple. chainstitch. It does took half an hour to finish.

Dear Brinda, You need not search for gunnybag and all.Because it is not in use in your place.
You will get nice nice matticloth there Isint it.
Do like this for your telephone mat.
