| Hi my dear crafty friends,.... R u nuts about knitting or crochetting...? I'm crazy about the threadworks...esp. Crochet... As I'm all alone at home, here, in UK,.. I'll be always browsing in net with google and searching for crochet designs and try to learn something new... (any other 'crazies' like me there... if so,... pls share some of ur own experiences and knowledge... I'm a very beginner in crochet... -did some purses/sweater/caps/squares etc... that's all... want to know more techniques...) by that time, I got this very good link,..which has 100s of books (ORIGINAL OLD / ANTIQUE BOOKS SCANNED ) and uploaded them online for FREE for the sake of woolwork lovers... It's really amazing... but the site has some copyrights reserved for these books so,..nobody can reproduce them commercially or sell them or reload them... these r for personal use only... for more details-pls.see the website... I know well that many of u know and use many websites...but this one is wonderful collection of real books-scanned in PDF format .... Those who want some good old grandma period crochet or knit designs will definitely love this.... I think this willbe useful to our IL -crafty friends .... Check it out...!!!! the name of the website which has all these books is :- antiquepatternlibrary for the catelog of the scanned books in PDF format...,the following is the link... http://www.antiquepatternlibrary.org/completelist.htm Last edited by Thejaswi; 18th April 2008 at 12:44 PM. | Dear Rama mani,... Thanks for ur response.... there are n no.of websites which teach crochet or knit with lots of designs from the basic level... but this one is different which has the scanned copies of the original old books... that's why i posted it here for our friends... happy to know that it's useful for u... and, for making purse or bag... i didn't learn it properly from a teacher.. but tried myself.. u can check the same website or someother with instructions for making them... anyway,..choose the simple design first and try ,... if u want particularly some,.. i'll post here for u some with photos... all the best...! Cheers, Thejaswi. |
