HEllo friends,
i had been following madhubani painting for quite sometime now.Its a very easy art which involves some easy drawing and very few basic colours.I have posted a picture in the beginning of this thread. This style of painting was usually done on walls of the houses by village ladies during festivals, religious events, and other milestones of the life-cycle such as birth, marriage etc..but now its is done on canvas and papers and recently has become a fashion statement in upmarket home decor..
Do try ur hand in it ..if needed i can post a few patterns too, when i get some.
Thanx
sumitha

Hai Viji,
You can use any sort of paper and fabric or water colours.I used indian ink in fountain pen for the borders and water colours on handmade paper.I used hand made paper with ridges and grooves to stimulate the effect of painting on a wall as they used to originall do on the walls of village homes..
Thanx,
sumitha
