Excellent work. I am wondering how you trace the patterns in the whole saree? Do u do with tracing paper and carbob paper(usual way) or any shop near by u does the pattern tracing for you?

Which is the best place to buy plain tusser material? I would like to do some work too. Can we also do in plain chiffon sarees? But tracing is the biggest problem..

Do you do maggam embroidery too? I have been dying to learn that? Anyone could teach it?

Kanta work looks beautiful and simple. Is it just stiching running stich along the design or we have to do something else? I want to try the same so please advise

hi all,

i trace designs in the usual way.[using carbon].

4 tusser silk , as this material is transparent 2 an extent.v can keep the design under the sari n draw.

but 4 gorgette type it is more difficult as v have 2 use carbon.

my daughter ammu helps me in tracing.

v can get good tusser silk material at JAYALAKSHMY SILKS, ERNAKULAM.

kantha work is just RUNNING stitch, which v shud do carefuly 2 get perfection.

2 work the complete sari ,i took abt 2 months [not ful time work].
