Paintings : Fabric Painting Materials

Hi All,

I like to paint a chudhithar on my own with designs.....I enquired all the shops at t-nagar in chennai but plain chudhithar is not available....

Do you know any place whether they are selling ?

u will get in shops like " globus" , " lifestyle".
u can also try in handloom exhibitions.

If you need chudi materials there are many shops in T.Nagar like Pothy's , chennai silks, Kumaran silks etc. But if u need plain readymade one u can get in Naidu Hall they have top and bottom separate or sets........

Can i have location of Naidu hall? I have enquired in pothys and chennai silks i could not get it...

Its in Pondy bazaar.. And in many other places like velachery , adayar, chromepet etc
In Pondy bazaar, near ratna stores firm, or if u dont know u can take an auto from pothys........ there is another ratna stores firm in north usman road.......... but naidu hall is further pondy bazaar ratna stores firm. from maya's plaza.............. Most of the auto men knew naidu hall........ jus' tell them u want to go to naidu hall.......they will take u there ...

or else u will get plain material in ranganathan st. the shops are kalangiyam, gani. Kalanjiyam has lot of stuffs they have 3 or more shops in ranganathan st.

Hi Praveena,
I go with rama's idea coz you can mark the area you want to paint ,when it is unstitched it is very easy and one more added information is if you get mangalagiri cotton material, it doesnt wade very easy as others do. And morethan that you will love the stuff.Bye,take care.

Mangagiri cotton is excellent & it is available in many shades. Plain material is available in pondy Bazzar, Luz...........
