hi prabha & varudihini garu ,

will u please tell me the colour combinations for both painting & embroidery please.

Hi sravy

I used flat brush no.3 and for outlining i did used Round brush 000. Here i didnt get fine arts brush(hard brush) too.... The person taught said she would get good brushes from andhra...

I have just now learnt painting so let me tell you what i have heard from my mam...

For working in sarees, i have heard that Checked Argandi cloth will suit a lot(here in chennai i didn't got that fabric)...People say its famous in andhra and we will get them there.... Tusar silk and pure silk will also be good for painting...

I dont know whether you planning to do wet paint or dry paint...
For dry paints we get good strokes in gorgette variety...

For wet painting, before starting we should test whether the paint spreads in the fabric.... We can test even with water.... If water spreads then we should use little amount of water to get good results...

Hope i'm clear....

Hi madhu
Thanks a lot...

Hi Bhuvana,

Thanks for the details and I do ur works. Excellent and keep going and motivating others. I have a doubt. WHat do you mean by wet paint and dry paint? I do not want to assume :)
Do you use any outliners so that the paint doesn't spread beyond the boundary. I would appreciate very much if you could post some of the patterns. That would be really helpful for us. Thanks. Even though I have done embroideries... I am planning to start my venture on fabric painting.

Hi lilly and sudha
Thanks a lot....

We will initially wet the cloth using water for wet paints.... so that paint wont spread beyond that area....

We wont use a little bit of water for dry paints.... i have done dry painting in that rose color fabric.... Other 3 patterns are wet painting....

Will post a top material soon....

bye take care
