Dear friends,
My little one is suffering for stuffy nose,no runny nose.He cant breath well.Especially in the night time .Last week we went to the Ped,she prescribed Saline nasal spray and told to change the humidifier and childrens claritin.Except claritin we did other things .Still no improvement. After 2 weeks I have another appointment.
Past one week I have also the same problem.Planning to go the doctor. Please friends suggest any home remedies.

Hello Mohana,
Instead of Humidifier, use vicks vaporiser.
It helps with hot moist.
Hope your little one feels better.

Hi Mohana,
like puni said, vicks vaporiser really works.

you can also try boiling some hot water and put vicks vaporub in the hot water, and make him take a steam if he is little big. hope you got what i am trying to say.

you can also try making milaghu rasam(pepper rasam), so it will take off all the cold and cough, but pepper brings heat to the body also.

hope he will become ok soon.

hope it helps you.

regards,

As sreeja said steaming with vicks or Airway vapolops available in pharmacies can also be done.
You can change the bedsheets, bedspreads once in a week as a person can be prone to dust allergy.Ironing bedsheets, bedspreads helps to remove dermites.

I think this may help u.

Take care

All,

As other memebers suggested to take vicks steam, vaporizer,I also had the same problem last week, and i followed the same.It was really helpful.

My aunt who is a Dr in US suggested me to follow the above and also suggested me to take rasam made up of ginger, garlic and pepper as start up before any meal.

It was very helpful.

Please try this when you get a chance.

Anusha

Hi Mohana

Happy to know u r feeling better.

My pediatrician advised me not to use vicks vaporizer until my daughter is 2 yrs old. I don't know ur kid's age but just want to let u know.

My mom said mixing turmeric & Breast milk n applying that in the forehead will really help but may sure u get good turmeric coz of the allergy factor, I didn't try this one coz I am not sure about the quality also my daughter had eczema problem so I was afraid to apply anything on her skin. But my mom said it will really help for the cold.

Hope this helps.

Happy Pongal.

Dhivya
