Default healthy diet for pcod

hi ladies
i would like to know what si the proper diet for pcod patient.
i have heard that carbohydrates (root veggies, rice , wheat sugar etc ) are not good for pcod. and also heard recently tomato also is not good. then coming to meat items. all are stuffed with steroid and hormones. which is again not good for pcod.
now i am following my own diet
whcih is

1 ltr water early morning (exercise for 30-45 mins. (whichs burns 300-400cal))

7 am tea

10 am 1 apple/1cucumber/oats 2tbs in skimmed milk

1pm 2 chapathi/2 dosa(which is made of very less rice made of 9pulses)
with veg or non veg curry which is having very less oil (1tsp)

7pm soup/fruits or chapathi or dosa same like lunch

i drink 11/2 to 2 litters of water during the day other than the 1 litter early morning. then some rich food once in a week.like rice and other side dishes . biriyani or fried items etc.if i eat egg i eat only white.
please advice if i need to change my eating habbit. or is it ok.
regards
ani

hi
I am also suffering from PCOS.
I have also done some changes to my diet.
Decrease the carbs, make sure to have protein, include more vegetables and fruits, more skim milk.
Good to drink lot of water.
For me constipation is also a side effect of pcos i guess, but drinking lot of water and walking helps.
I dont know about Tomatoes though, i use them frequently for cooking.
Can you tell me what kind of pulses you use for dosa batter? It seems healthy.
Take care
SS

HI SS
GOOD TO see your POST.
yah even i was not aware that tomatoes are not good. well i dont know exactly.saw in one site. but i cant avoid them for cooking.. its one of the major ingredient for all my curries.
yah for the dosa i use 1 hand full of rice urud dal, toor dal, methi 1 teaspoon, ragi, wheat, green gram dal, channa and brown rice . whatever is avaailble u can use that. soak it over night and grind next day morning. make thick dosas out of it. it goes well with chutny and other curries.

platinum, PCOD patients are mostly requested to follow the diet of diabetic patients. Reason being the insulin levels plays a role.

I think, your diet is itself nuff! and try to add lot of raw or semi cooked vegetables and have ur own measurement of cup in case if u wish to have rice.

And plz dont skip any tablets if u are under any medication.

Cuz usually for PCOD so many doctors suggest different tablets and diets based on their diet and life style.
