Make 12-12-12 memorable!

The whole world is mesmerized with today’s date - 12-12-12. While people have great plans for having weddings, giving birth to a child and other auspicious things, rest of us can also do something special that can affect our lives. Why not take a health pledge on this “special” day to live, eat and do things that are healthy? You don’t need to wait for a New Year Day to make such a resolution. Sooner the better, isn’t it? Let us make this day extra-special and memorable by making a concerted effort to be healthy! Take the pledge and do keep the promise and jumpstart on your way to health and wellness today!

PLEDGE TO LEAD A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

My health and wellbeing is important to my family and me. It is my responsibility to stay healthy and I pledge that I will –

Make healthy food choices.

Drink more water every day.

Avoid processed food and drinks.

Find best ways to stay healthy and fit at any age.

Exercise for 30 minutes for 4-5 days a week.

Follow doctor’s guidelines about checkups and exams.

Be physically active as much as possible.

Quit one bad habit in the next 6 months.

Learn to prevent and manage stress.

Not ignore any warning signs of the body.

Not let laziness or temptations to stop me from being healthy.

Help my family members to lead a healthy life as well.

If not today, you can still take this important pledge on any day that you wish, since your health if of prime importance.

Dear coolblues,

Very nice thread started by you.

We really need to take some pledge for our betterment. But the thing is that we are lazy in taking care of ourselves.

We have time for everybody but no time for ourselves.

I think for this also we need people to motivate us. LOL
