Are you obsessed with the ever-tasty processed foods? Well, a recent research published in the Public Health Nutrition journal mentions that people who indulged in fast and junk foods are fifty-one percent prone to suffer from depression. You may wonder, why. These foods are simply a mix of harmful chemicals served on an attractive platter to you. Some of the highly popular fast foods prepare use alternate sub-ingredients to make up the actual ingredients, which are quite toxic for the health. Over a period, these ingredients cause health wreck triggering addiction and brain damage. Hypothalmus is a part of the brain, which controls an individual’s natural triggers – hunger, thirst and other cycles. This one of the main reasons why, people are drawn towards junk and processed foods.

People who eat more of junk and processed foods are prone to be dull, sluggish and tend to have poor dietary habits. People with depression, stress, and anxiety are likely to get attracted to processed foods and the vicious cycle continues.

On the other hand, a healthy diet that consists of omega-3 fatty acids, fresh fruits and vegetables and nuts that are rich in minerals, vitamin C and B don't tend to suffer from depression and anxiety disorders.

    So, what is your pick?
