    Hi ILs,

Taking Milk daily is suggested for women for satisfying the Calcium needs of the body. However, some how i am not able to take milk.
Can Curd be taken instead. One cup of curd every day??? Would that supply the calcium needs of the body.. please suggest....

Curd/Yoghurt is a wonder food for everybody. Here are some benefits of including curd in your daily diet...

*Consumption of curd strengthens the immune system.
*One serving of yogurt per day is said to be beneficial for those suffering from osteoporosis.
*Low-fat or skim curd is good for people who are suffering from higher levels of cholesterol.
*Yogurt helps you feel fuller and is thus, a very good snack for those trying to lose weight.
*Being rich in calcium, curd is good for the health of bones as well as the teeth.
*Consumption of curd might help reduce the risk of high blood pressure.

    Hi Cherry&Chintu,

If you are 30+ (hope so..), i think it is better to take buttermilk instead of curd...

If you want, you need not add water to the buttermilk..so that it's somewhat thicker...:coffee
