Default Iced Lemon Tea

Hi,

here is another refreshing drink that is easy to prepare and tastier to drink.

Ingredients:

Black tea - 1 cup
Lemon juice from 2 big lemon
Honey - 1/4 cup
Crushed ice - 1 cup

Method :

Prepare black tea by heating 1 cup water and adding 1 tsp of tea leaves when it boils. Boil for a minute. Strain and keep aside to cool.

To Serve :

Take a long stemmed glass.
Pour honey into it to form the lowermost layer, followed by juice of 2 big lemon. use a spoon and sprinkle 3/4 cup of crushed ice to form the 3rd layer. Now pour the black tea slowly onto the ice layer. Sprinkle a little more ice on top. Garnish with sliced lemon and mint leaf.

The glass will have 4 distinct layers and will look great.
MIX WELL BEFORE U TAKE A SIP. THE BLEND OF HONEY , LIME AND TEA GIVES A BEAUTIFUL TASTE.
The quantity of honey and lemon juice can be adjusted to personal taste.

Default Ginger Lemonade- amazing one!

Hi Rathi!

The ginger lemonade recipe posted by you turned out to be a hit! My husband now wants me to make it every other day!! However, just wanted to also let you know that I made it absolutely acc to your instructions and found that it makes just about 1.5 glasses of ginger lemonade as opposed to your two tbsp idea. But what comes out is a wonder:)

Regards,

~Shalini

p.s Also, I grated the ginger instead of chopping it...its flavor comes out spectacularly.

Default Awesome

Hi Rathi....

Yesterday I tried this Ginger Lemonade and it is awesome!!! I myself am going near the fridge all the time to empty the whole thing in intervals........ All in my family liked it so much that I have sent this recipe to my mom and sister in law too.I made a slight variation to this without your permission but even this turned out to be equally good. I have served this drink both hot and chilled and both are equally good. May be hot drink in winters and chilled one in summers.

Please post in more refreshing drinks like this. Thanks a lot!!

tsseethalakshmi

usually in the north , any drink, cold, has a tangy taste.

The main ingredient is BLACK SALT........

you may eveb add chat masals a little for that taste.. or mix black salt, little jeera pdr and amchur( dry mango pwdr at home) and add to such drink, or even fruit salads, raite.... anything

Hope u enjoy

Default Re: Lemon Drinks

hi seethalakshmi mam,

As oosha says it has black salt.

The one that is available over the counter is jal-jeera.from most of the brands like badshah and everest....which you can add to the lemon juice..it gives a different flavour.

On top of the masala, you can just crush a single mint leaf..and the flavour combination is really awesome.
