Hi Orange,
All said and done, I would prefer the 'old' method. But we live in a apt.where the kitchen is very small, and facing east, it was horrible to boil water , and the whole house will be like ' thar' desert on mid-day!

I had to look for an alternative.
We had been to a gynecologist once, where they had kept 'purit' water filter, and that is when we decided to try it.When the company dares to promote it with doctors, it should be trouble free we felt. One of my relatives also bought one, after lot of thought, to take it to Bombay, because it was available only in Chennai. So we bought it, and as I said we have been using it for the past 1 1/2 years.
It is almost an old age home, I mean our house, the minimum age being 56, that's me,

and the max. being 81!!My g.son also drinks that water, whenever he is with us.We have not come across any problem so far.Once in 6 months it is required that we clean the filter and change it, which the man from the company came and fixed without any probs. This is all I can say.Hope this (story??)helps!
