Drinking hot water is good for digestion after meal.In kerala daily hot water with cheera or ginger available in every home.Nowadays 'thagasamani' is available with some ayurvedic medicines available in the market.In it RAKTHA CHANDANAM' is included.so the water is red in c olour.
After heavy meals is essential to drink this hot water to subside the heavyness.
We can see some of the hot water used.

Chukku vellam [venneer]

Boil water with a piece of dried ginger or fresh ginger.

Boil the water with two to three spoon of coriander seeds.

It will cool the stomach.

ginger 2 " piece crushed
jeera 2 tsp crushed
coriander 2 tsp crushed

Boil the water adding the above three increadiance.

Boil the water with 10 to 12 fresh or dried puthina leaves.
We can add 2 tsp jeera also.

Default Nellikkai venneer

Boil the water with one or two fresh nellikkai.

We can make nellikkai vellam [water] with dried nellikkai [available in nattu Marunthu kadai].First soak the dried nellikkai in water for two to three hours.
and boil it.

When boil the water with ginger,cheera and coriander add two or three cardamum also.We can feel fine aroma.

this method was advised by a ayurvedic doctor.Dr. told that this tea chukku vellam is helpfull for the free flow of blood.
