It is quite a common disease for toddlers. It is because of a virus and there is nothing serious about it. All you need to do is keep the child hydrated well and to give oral paracetamol if having fever. Since the child will have oral ulcers( like blisters)- it would be helpful to give ice as soothes the pain for the child.

 

Hand foot and mouth problem is viral and spreads mainly in schools where the toys and benches hygiene is not maintained also to maintain cleanliness is very important as children of small age tend to put everything in their mouth.
