Reason for High Heart beat rate!!!

    Hi Ladies,
    Recently we observed a high heart beat rate in one of my friends.
    It's above average pulse rate reaches 100 above too...:spin very unusual.
    Blood Pressure is high too...He gets really tensed for ordinary task in daily life.
    I would like to know what is the cause for high heart beat in him and how to make it as an average person's heart beat like 70 or 80....
    I know it's better to check it with a physician and get treated soon...
    But still i would like to know more about it.
