Thank you for 'welcoming' me as Mod of Good to Read. You do however know, that I dont moderate your forum.

I may have been given limited moderating powers with respect to my forum. But you are the real super moderator, green-lettered moderator of my forum.

Thanks also for the statement that I am a better writer than you. We both know it is not really true. I am not a writer at all, leave alone a better writer. My writing days are over and all I do is moderate writers.

The statement that you are a better writer than me is as simple a fact that the sun raises in the east. The fact that you have not chosen to write does not in any way affect the veracity of the statement I made earlier.

I still contend that my comparing HE-3,5 to a M&B touched a whole raw nervous system. To the extent, that in one of your posts, you referred to me as 'one member'. Let me get this clear. I love books of all types. I love Mills and Boon, I love Sidney Sheldon. And after a stage, they all become familiar/predictable. Writers hate to be told that they are predictable, it is like reading their minds. As a writer, you have to at times mimic (go with) the flow, and at other times mock it. And it is my prerogative as a reader to express my views. But of course, in good order. That is one lesson I learn from your forum repeatedly.

No, people dont remain the same. So, it is not fair that MC Priya retains the same home spun values after being exposed to a harsh ad world where words do not always match morals. But sadly, people when they change, lose only their goodness. The not so nice attitudes, the latent evil, it never changes, only gains more force.

When I said, Viva women power in a twisted sense, I knew it was not ethical. And I would hate to see anyone doing bad business -man or woman. But women tend to have more spite and strength in their misdoings. Agatha Christie refers to that in Murder in the Orient Express. The victim is found stabbed violently 13 times (I think). She says that a man would stab once in anger, but only a women could exhibit such pent up rage and fury. Our parents said it simply as 'saadhu mirandaal, kaadu kolladhu'.

Agatha Christie's statement is quite chilling.

Again, it is quite an experience reading the episodes of HE set in two time lines. As a reader it is a discerning experience, an evolving experince. And thank you for teaching us a lot about many things thru your stories.

Things move on fast... People change much faster.... When you go to great heights... you think more of power and authority.... They are not contended.... The millionairs has more vigour in becoming a billionaire than a normal average person to become a millionaire....

The first time you take over a company.... then it is like a contageous diesease.... You keep trying to repeat and become the only person.... It is an addiction... The more you go up the ladder... you forget the basic values...

I see that in this story.... Priya becoming an addict... I am Happy that atleast Madhavan retains his values and not get carried away... I can see destiny enjoying itself.... Change in characters/values/Vulture Lawyer.... Over and above suspicions... So all tools are set for Desitiny to play the game....

I go back to the previous episodes... where the Guru tells Madhavan life is a cycle and you know where you are.... In our limelight hours... we lose sight of forewarnings or the words of wisdom.... The same is the case with these people....

Sometimes I dont understand people... In this case both Madhavan and Priya have a created an huge empire flushed with richness and wealth... But they dont meet and have a normal happy life... meeting in between travels... What a way to live... For whose sake they are creating more and more wealth.... For kids????????????

May be I am wrong in my understanding of life....

Somehow or other Chitvish brings in real life people into your characters... Imagine if there was a person in reality like these characters...and they happened to read your story.... Hahahaha.... My God... I saw one english movie like that... I forgot the name of the movie... I will come back to you on that...

That is perfectly true. I have known people who came from humble middle class background. But when they got on to positions of power, their behaviour, their morals, their values everything changed.

And today if you ask me what is the most dangerous of all the drugs available in the market, my answer will not be hashish, Kanja, Ecstasy, or LSD. It is money. The desire for money. The single minded approach to garner as much money as one can, disregarding the fact that you cannot even spend a portion of it before you die.

I remember a Zen story. A rich man died. Another person living in the town asked a Zen master,
"How much wealth did he leave?"
The Master answered,
"Why, he left every thing he had. Do you think he can carry even a single penny with him in his journey after death?"

Had Madhavan and Priya both been addicts then at least the situation would have been better for them as a couple. But now has come a time in their lives where journeys are heading in different directions.

They are now in a car drawn by two horses, each pulling in opposite directions.

Whatever I said about money applies with greater force to take-overs, mergers and amalgamations.

You will say the same words when you hear about the lives of rich and famous. The point here is that even if we by chance become so rich, we should remember those words.

Your understanding is right. But the whole world goes in the opposite direction. When you are sitting in a stationery train and the train on the next platform starts moving, you have an illusion as if your train is moving. The above sentence is uttered in such a state.

I forgot for a moment that Chitvish lives in Chennai and have unwittingly chosen Chennai as the venue. I never knew that her son Kumar will be the Vice President of Gandhinagar Club. But you know, I samalichified that by saying that now the Chef has changed. Howzzat...

Yes... I only pray to GOD that I dont change.... Though I have not changed as of now... But with so much wealth and power... One cannot say.... But I am confident that Shan will ensure whatever happens, she will see to that that family day is taken care off....

The Synopsis is... A lonely IRS agent whose mundane existance is transformed when he hears a mysterious voice narrrating his life. With the help of a Professor he discovers he is the main character in a novel -in-progress and that voice belongs to an famous for killing main characters in creative ways. The man has to find the author and stop her befor she conjures a way to finish him off....

Thanks for the reference. I shall try to get hold of the DVD. When you are engrossed with your writing and your story, at times you get an eerie feeling that what you create has an effect much more than you can even imagine.
In a story like HE or SHE (and more so with HE) I am sort of living with the story.

Isn't it true in real life too if someone successfully going forward there is always a villian behind them to pull them back. A nice episode .........full of suspense ............waiting to see what will happen to the love birds............will they face the bad time couragousely or will they have a good time realising the mistake soon and take precautions.
It always happens once a person gets the taste of success don't wish to stop in between they go on going forward without realising what will happen in furture. Priya too is in one of such stage.

When Madhavan asked Priya to retreat from taking over his friends Company, I was sure that the lawyer would play the tricks. I watch such games everyday, though I never participate.

My head is still reeling from the roller coaster ride- reading the episode 7. It is really faced paced and you have created such a different plot.
It is true that we cannot know a person completely, how they will react, even though we have been together for long periods. Madhavan's reaction when Priya was trying to take over another company is proof enough.
But tell me, earning loads of money and achieving great heights in profession at the cost of one's life, is it worth?
If two persons who loved each other and married do not have time to even talk to each other, what kind of life it is?
May be I am not 'so motivated' but if you could not enjoy the small pleasures of life and the money that you earn, then life would not have any meaning - at the present and also in later years.

In fiction we have an advantage. The number of villains are fewer compared to real life.

Madhavan and Priya being love birds is a statement which was true at a particular point of time. Probably when they were in Amsterdam, and till about six months after marriage. Now there is a perceptible change in them. Especially Priya is moving in a different direction leaving Madhavan far behind. Many marriages fail because nobody stays the same in a marriage. At the point of marriage, both the man and woman would have been in a perfectly romantic spot with identical likes and preferences. As days go by, as they age and mature, they tend to grow in different directions.

It always happens once a person gets the taste of success don't wish to stop in between they go on going forward without realising what will happen in furture. Priya too is in one of such stage.
