How to straighten my hair?

Hello ladies,

I would want some suggestions and opinions from u. My hair is neither straight nor curly, its wavy. Sometimes wen i want to go for weddings or for some other ocassions, i hate to think wat do i do with my hair? I would love to have straight hair. I had my hair straightened in a parlour once with a hair straightner. But i did not like it much becoz thought my hair became straight but it also became stiff, dry and rough.

I just wanted to ask u ladies, wat shud i do to have straight hair? Shud i use the hair straightner or blow drying machine to straighten up my hair?

I guess many of u on this site must be having a hair straightner of blow drying machines at home, so just tell me which one works good so that i can have straight and silky hair?

This is what works for me.
after washing hair first with shampoo then conditioner,
i apply a gel which is for straightening hair. here we get it in all pharmacy or reglar shops.
after that, i section out hair and take small sections at a time. hold/pull outward that section tightly by a brush, and blow dry only that section. likewise for all small sections till whole head is complete. this works very well . I am not in the least good nor an expert but it works if done right. give it a try.
all hair salons in india do this method. its called styling by blowdryer.
