| Shoo away your monsoon hair woes Friday, July 13, 2007 12:55 IST You’re getting ready for a date. Your dress is gorgeous, make-up impeccable and shoes — to die for. Just one problem — the monsoon is starting to feel like one long bad hair day. Hair and Beauty expert Christiaan Georgio, an international stylist with an ultra chic signature salon at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, that offers the perfect blend of hair styling and beauty treatments, gives a few of his best tips to maximise your mane mojo this time around: Day: High ponytails are refreshing. Add a heavy blunt fringe just above the eyes for that Prima Donna look. Night: Let your hair down and have some fun. Literally. A slightly ruffled, just-out-of-bed avatar will have you looking relaxed-glam. Colour: Highlights are passé, solids are in. Go global with a suitable hue and one or two slices of the front hair strategically coloured in different shades. Chocolate browns and honeys go great with Indian skin. Avoid orange and gold. Accessorise: Diamante-studded hairpins or ribbons brighten up the mood, but don’t overdo it. Care: Avoid rebonding and perming in such humid climate. Keep hair clean. Go easy on conditioner and heavy hair products. Use a light Paul Mitchell spray for finishing and rich texture. BROUGHT TO U BY SUNKAN Last edited by sunkan; 14th July 2007 at 02:32 AM. |
