I have a semi curly hair that is totally unmanageable :( and I'm keen in doing hair straightening due to the same reason.. But I hear mixed opinions on doing straightening.. Many of them say that it might damage the hair and some say that it is good as long as they use branded or good products for straightening..
Also I'm confused as to where in chennai can I get it done.. I enquired lakme and naturals saloons but they all charge minimum 7000 INR.. I 'm happy to shell out as long as they do it pucca :)
I have a front cut as well and would like to get it straightened as well .. One of my friend suggested me to do 'Ironing' (temporary straightening) as that 'll get me a picture of how my hair will look after straightening and that since it is temporary (doesnt stand after a hair wash), i can choose to continue with straightening or drop the decision :)
Any suggestions please?? Expecting your replies ...
Even i had the same problem i started using fabindia seabuckthorn shampoo and conditioner in a month time my hair is normal and it stopped waving my hair. it really works u can get this product in all fabindia outlets. it's really good. and once a week apply eggwhite mix with curd and wash it with this shampoo u can see changes in a month. this is what am doing.
try using hair straightening iron. You can do it whenever it is necessary(parties etc). If you go for professional straightening, it may damage your hair. I use panteen sleek and straight. It really made my hair look straight, atleast temporarily.
I had hair rebonding done when I was in my teens and it was a rage and now I regret it.
I have loose curls and I highly recommend loving your hair the way it is. If you do wanna straighten your hair, invest that INR 7K in a good hair straightener and good hair care products than spending it on getting your hair "permanently" straightened.
A) Its not permanent - as your hair grows, it'll look ugly with a curly mop/wavy mop on your roots and poker straight hair everywhere else
B) It dries your hair out and makes it look like hay eventually.
C) It damages your hair alot, thereby resulting in hairfall. Your roots get affected too, so you might have thinning hair.
What I do is just straighten my hair as and when I need. And it looks good once you get a hang of it.
