Amla for Haircare

    Has anyone ever heard of this? Does it really make the hair grow long? I bought some Amalaki capsules from the local Indian store. I also bought some Amla, Neem and Kareki (sp?) powders that I make into a tea each morning and drink them. They taste VERY bitter!!! Can these help my hair to grow faster and longer? If not, what can you suggest that I take, drink or eat to make my hair much longer at a faster rate. I'm in a hair growing contest and I want to win soooooo bad!!!:thumbsup

    Hair growth pattern is something one is born with.. still you can try.......
    Olive oil in hair and in cooking also . And do not fret.. this leads to destruction. Amla is actually good for the good colour of the hair.
    Add protein to your diet..as hair ar made of protein.

    No it should just be healthy, protein rich diet..can be veg or non-veg. Just be careful with physical routine as any rich diet would need exercise too.

    Hi friends,
    I heard that applying fresh amla juice is very good to be applied on hair for hair fall and stop greying. How to take the juice from fresh amla? How long can it be stored? How long and how many times a week do we have to apply on hair for good benefits ? Any idea? Please answer.Drowning

    Dear swasal,

    To extract amla juice - take seeds out of the flesh and put it in the blender. mix and then squeeze the paste , juice will come out..Store it in a glass container and put inside the refrigerator..
