Default Hair Ties

I wanted to know whether at night:

a. Must you leave your hair.

b. Must you tie your hair tight.

c. Must you tie your hair loosely.

d. Must you tie it as a bun & cover with a scraf.

I really am in such a fix about this.

Anita

Hi

what i feel is we should have our hair tied loosely, cos leaving it loose, untied may cause sikkal next day, and having a tight knot will not be comfortable to sleep and bun , god will interfere a lot

so its better to have loose knots.

regards
san

Thumbs down Re: Hair Ties

For me,comfort is what matters.I tie my hair into a top bun,put a band around it before going to bed.Whichever direction I sleep in the night, this does not irritate me.

Hi JustAni,

Just the question I wanted to ask too. My hair dresser said that I am losing hair since I wear it as a plait. Since it is always pulled back, it is falling. Sounds true and false.

She suggested that I shld leave it loose at night.

Wonder what other ILites have to say abt this?

Hi

It is best to leave hair tied loosely so that there wont be any pressure while we sleep. Tying tightly or having buns is not advisable, instead one can leave it loosely if the hair is short. Tying with bun and to cover with a scarf is not good at bedtime.

It is generally good to braid your hair loosely at night. That way you will not have tangles. Also, as many strokes as you can give, acts as a good massage for the scalp. It is best to run your fingers through the hair, as the warmth of the hand is good for your hair, rather than doing it with a brush.

Hi,

Indeed a good question. I guess all of us have different ways of hair ties at night. I loosely braid my hair and then I am good to go in the morning with no tangles. Love to hear more ideas.

Jothi.
