I too hav long hair n faced the same problem.before going for headbath apply henna for ur hair n stay for an hour.application of henna strenthens ur hair n gives shine to ur hair.in case if u dont hav time to apply henna then soak a towel in hot water.then sqeeze all the water n wrap that towel for ur hair for 10 minutes.this increases the circulation in that area.try these.

Thumbs up Re: long hair

Always try to tie ur hair before going out.Dry hair is usually brittle. So perform hot oil massage once a week. Henna treatment is also good.
best of luck

I think braid is great for long hair and it keeps out most damage to hairs. Also oil and ill 3rd the henna as it adds so much strength.

My hair is fine and fragile but i find henna adds strength and some thickness to it. Yogurt as a conditioner also helps to keep it from breaking, the rest of the time i keep my hair heavily oiled and in a bun to minimise stress on the strands.

You are welcome. By the way i like your quote that "Long hair is a gift not a burden..." well said. That reminds me of an incident happened at my work recently. We had a consultant came from india. when she came she had her hair up to little over her shoulder. With in couple of weeks she chopped her hair like a boy cutting. We were all shocked by that. That afternoon at lunch I could not control my self and i asked her politely what made her to do that. All my American colleagues were waiting anxiously for her response. She goes "well its very hard here for me to manage my hair and work blah...blah..." I was like give me a break lady. Any way, that's interesting how people change so fast after coming here. Its very sad. I should tell her to visit your profile.

Oh you are so sweet dear thank you and thanks also for sharing this story with me. I do not see how short hair can be easier than long myself, as short hair you have to do many things to it and keep cutting. With longer hairs is just oil and wash and put braid so easy. But I guess for some hair is bothersome until they start to lose it and then they are wanting it back,it happens sadly. I hope one day she will grow her hairs long again And with the US short dyed fake hair is very popular and so they try to make peoples with longer hairs feel like they are in the wrong it is so backwards here
If you have any more storys be sure to share with me I really enjoy it.
