Hypothyrodism and Hair loss

Hi All,

Is there is anyone who is having hypothyrodism and hair loss here?. I am having hypothyrodism and currently i am taking thyronorm tablets. I started treamtment 2 months back and having hair loss now. Is there is any home remedy for this?. Please help me i am very much scared about this.

Hey Mythu,
The hair loss will stop once your thyroid hormone levels get stabilized. Don't worry. In fact all your symptoms will lessen slowly. Keep a check on the levels regularly with blood tests after that. One problem that will continue though is hair becomes dry and hence frizzy. So take care of that with regular oil massages and you will have a crowning glory to be proud of !! Good luck.

My problem is that I have hypothyroidism. I came to know about it during blood check-up for my pregnancy. I am taking Levothyroxin, since then. I had dry hair, but no hair loss. After I started taking medicine, my hair became fantastic. God knows whether it was because the medicine started working or because of my pregnancy.

Now after my delivery, my hair loss has become severe and hair dryness has become more. Since I have curly hair, it looks very bad. I am afraid that this much hair loss will lead to baldness . I cannot help but laugh at myself. Anyway can anybody please help me, give me some suggestions for saving some hair on my head .
