Default suggest a good cream to keep the scalp moist

hi friends,

My scalp gets dry almost once in 3 days. I apply parachute coconut oil and it feels good only for a day but gets sticky the next day. Please suggest some good cream or hairgel which i can apply daily and get the hair back to life. Did anyone try such creams,if so plz let me know the cream and where you get it from.

Thanks in advance

Hi Happywoman,

Being in Bay area..sure the summers and winters are dry...I've lived there for many years before moving here..so have an idea.

My suggestion will be..please oil your hair well (with whatever oil you prefer) before hairwash. Better to warm the oil before applying on your scalp and leave it on for an hour before wash.

As for creams..most of these leave the hair all the more dry and result in hair fall. Best bet will be to stick with coconut/almond/olive hair oils.

Also in indian stores, you get Dabur vatika hair oil and Enriched olive oil for hair. You can apply a little just after hair wash...since too much may give an oily look if you are going out.

Perhaps other IL'ites can give you other suggestions if you still want to use only creams.

Cheers
Krithika

dear friend, here is a home treatment for dry scalp.
apply coconut milk in the scalp and massage for awhile. Then wash off after 30 minutes. Application of this Once in a week will change the hair condition.
Another one is application of sour curd to scalp, and wash off after 30 minutes. ( this gives a smell, so a herbal shampoo wash may again needed)
