Hair Highlights

Hello All,

I am planning to get some hair highlights done to my hair. I know what color I want and I also know how they do it(bleach and apply color)
I never applied any hair color to my hair except for henna.
Will highlights damage my hair? Also, do you just go to any salon which does hair color and highlights? How long do the highlights stay?

Any experiences? Please share.

I had highlights once it ruin my black hair it stays until it grows out then you have to cut it off if you want your natural color back.Yeah any salon will do it as long as they color hair they will do it.See highlighting strips hair it removes all black from hair and makes it thin and fragile and very damage.

highlights stay for about 6 months they tend to fade off after that and lose colour so you have to keep colouring them or keep cutting your hair!!!i have had them before and kept cutting my hair until i got my natural colour back!!!!so i would suggest henna to colouring!!!!
