Exclamation 4 Basic types of hair Cuts

There are basically 4 types of hair cuts. All the other ones are a combination of two or more of these 4 basic hair cuts.

Blunt Cuts
- Determine whether the hair is all one, long length. If so, then stylists refer to the cut as a 0-degree cut or blunt. Stylists cutting hair blunt pull the hair at 0-degrees from the head so that the hair flows as one long mane with blunt edges, resembling a rectangle.
-precise blunt cut is carefully trimmed so that all the hair reaches one level. This type of haircut causes the hair to appear thicker and heavier than it would with a layer cut. One characteristic of this style, considered by some as a drawback, is that it is flat on top. The ends will also be straight unless encouraged to curl with styling product and curling iron.

Layer Cuts
- Decide whether the hair falls at shoulder length. See if the edges resemble layers. If so, this demonstrates a 90-degree hair cut. A stylist holds the hair at a 90-degree angle from the head and cuts successive layers of medium length in a circular pattern.
-Layered hair refers to hair that is cut at different lengths throughout the hairstyle. These lengths might be blended perfectly, so that you cannot see where one leaves off and another begins, or they might not be blended together at all, giving a chunky appearance.
The layers can be uniform throughout - such as trimming every hair on your head to an exact 2 inches in length - or they might be cut short in some areas and left long in others. The shorter hairs will often stand out more, therefore adding body or fullness to your hair. The way the layers are organized creates the shape of the hairstyle.
-

Bob Cuts
- Observe whether the hair appears bobbed at a medium length and if it has a good amount of volume. This hair cut type indicates a 45-degree cut. The stylist separated the hair into smaller sections and clipped while holding it at a 45-degree angle from the head.
-One length hair that is around chin length is often called a bob

Shag
- Look at the overall shape and texture of the hair. If it seems oval with an activated texture, the hair resembles a shag, also called the 180-degree angle cut.
-hair cut must have extensive layering. It must have bangs and a neckline that is long as compared to the lengths rest of the layers. The layers between the crown and the nape area must be short so that the shape of the style is close at the sides and the back.
