dear AD,

It is very good if we heat the coconut oil before bath.(not sure about olive oil).

it gives better nourishment to the hair and keeps it cool and shining .

We say one word neerkorthal(water entering inside) in tamil. It will not be there if the oil is heated.

Dear Arabian Doll

I always heat the oil (I use Dabur Olive Hair Oil only), by putting the gas stove on for few seconds, put it off then keep the oil bowl. The oil will be moderately hot in a bearable temperature.

Now start from the middle in the front, part the hair in both sides, dip a small piece of cotton in the oil and apply through the mid part, then after an inch space on your right side, again dip and apply. Similarly continue on both sides. Then you can massage with your fingers in a clockwise manner on both sides of hair on the scalp. Then apply at back and the falling hair and at the edges.

I stopped using coconut oil, as they are not fresh and a kind of odour comes after washing also which I hate. The quality of coconut oil also not good these days, they are not fresh.

I find Dabur Olive Hair oil very good (better than Vatica), it gives shine and bounce to the hair.

Happy Oiling.............................

Warm Regards
Shanti

dear this heating is done mostly in winter for the oil to spread well but once a week when u apply if it is olive it is a heavy oil so the quantity is to be very less but the finger tips dipped should be massaged slowly covering all the area, whenever there is massaging the oil content should be less and the scalp has to be well done and if you heat and do in summer u may get a head ache...this is my experience..sunkan

It goes to the scalp and gives strength to the hair and wash with warm water after 1/2 hour or 1 hour.

Dear Arabian Doll,

You have selected a beautiful name.Hope u really are an arabian doll.
I agree with all other friends. Its so good to heat the oil before applying on your scalp. It helps in opening ur pores and improves blood circulation.Improved blood circulation makes your hair healthy and aids its growth.

with luv,
seeba.
