    Hello IL's

I am a regular user of coconut oil to nourish my hair before a wash.
The last time I oiled my hair with my regular coconut, a small patch of hair on my crown has become an issue as the oil is not coming off 'ONLY that area'. The oil from my remaining hair went off in the 1st wash iteslf.

I have washed my hair 5 time (5 diffrent occasions) after that, but the oil still wont come off.
I also made my mum scrub my hair to ensure it goes, but it still dosent.

    Pls helpppppppppppppp...
How do i get this oil off....plssssssss

Use a little dishwashing detergent on that patch and wash it with that.

I feel detergent tip though useful, but may harm the hair by drying it out excessively! Hence keep it as a last try if all other fails.

    1. Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply all over your scalp and roots till tips just like hair mask. Cover your head with a shower cap. Wait for 15-20mins and then wash off with little warm water (not too hot but just warm).
    Or try this-

    2) use a clarifying shampoo to remove the residual oil and follow it up with a mild conditioner if your hair feels rough.
    Or
    3) try liquid dishwasher and apply on scalp after diluting it with water. Make sure you apply a good deep conditioning hair mask after that as liquid detergent strips off even natural oils making your hair rough and dry.

Btw which shampoo did you use? If you use silicon based shampoos likr dove or pantene or any drugstore brand for that matter, it'll not go. Use clarifying shampoo like the body shop or organix or organic surge.

rub your scalp with lemon for 5-10 mins before washing your hair. like pinky2cute said, if you use dove or loreal it's of not that much use. better use pantene pro v clarifying shampoo(the transparent one).
