Hi
I saw your mail regarding alopecia just now.
I too got it last year. The reason is STRESS ( that is what I think)
Next reason is food habits.
I will tell all that I followed because it is completely cured now.
1. Simple yoga and meditation, breathing exercises.
2. Include atleast one raw vegetable and fruit in your daily diet (murungai keerai , curry leaves are good)
3. Drink atleast 8 glasses of pure filtered water everyday
4. MinOxidil Topical Solution USP 2% I used this regularly for 3 months with my doctor's advice.

After 4 months, the hair started to grow back slowly and now the patch is covered. Luckily the patches have not come in any new place (my doctor had said that alopecia may recur)

Try these tips and maybe it will help you..but you have to be patient and follow it regularly.

Regards
Jayanthi

Hi
I forgot to say that I tried the onion method too.....it did not work for me BUT it helped my husband who has started to go bald.

In the meantime go to a stylist and get a good hair cut that will hide the bald patches. I also used to wear trendy scarces sometimes to hide it!! Just forget about it and hope it will go away on its own.

Hi,
Onion is a good stimulant and it helps male pattern baldness. What I meant to say is that it did not help my kind of alopecia. I tried with the small onions. I stopped after one month because I did not want to try both onion and minoxidil at the same time.
Sorry if I have hurt your feelings!

Regards
Jayanthi

Smile Re: alopecia

Hi Ashu and Jaykay,

Thanks for the informative replies. I am also having the problem. Planning to follow your advices.

How frequently in a week should we apply the small onion juice? Is it ok if we can't apply overnight and just apply it for a couple of hours?

Cheers,
Nirai

Hi Nirai,
I think it is ok to apply just once everyday without fail for atleast 3 months!!
You can try minoxidil and also iron tablets with your doctor's advice.

Cheers
Jaykay
