drink lots of water

tie up ur hair with a rubber band apply vaseline (yes petroleum gelly) to the tips as u apply oil leave it for 10 mins then wash the tips where u have applied vaseline. dont shampoo the same day. do this everytime the previous day of ur shampooing.

Important. keep vaseline awayy from ur scalp ( it weakens the hair root) it works well on splittens but not on scalp.

hope u find this useful

Amulu,

Since you have dry hair try and use a leave in conditioner. Also, if you are washing your hair too frequently (everyday or 3-4 times a week) reduce that down as the shampoo makes your hair even drier. If you have to wash your hair, wash it with natural ingredients like aritha or just use water and conditioner.

If you are using hair dryer, color, or any harsh treatments on your hair., stop applying them or reduce the frequency.

You mentioned that you get your hair trimmed regularly so that's good. However, remember that once you have the split ends, there is not much you can do to revive those split ends and make them healthy again. So your target is to get into a routine which will prevent split ends to occur in the first place.

Couple other things that you can do are:
Use coconut oil (if possible without any mixing of other oils) and apply the night before you plan to shampoo your hair. Warm the oil a little for better results.
You can also try mixing caster oil with equal portion of coconut oil and use that in your hair.

One last thing, don't brush/comb your hair when they are wet. This breaks your hair as they are too soft from the shampoo and water.

Hope this helps!
Vib

hi
inorder to avoid splits you need to trim your hair so that the split part gets cut and the hair grows. avoid tying up wet hair in towel on your head or combing wet hair roughly as that weakens the hair roots. Apply hair conditioner on hair and not on scalp. colouring of hair may make it very dry if you dont condition it.
avoid tight rubber bands or plaits tied very tighty.
also avoid blow drying or perming of hair often speacially in the rains it burns the hair off .
it also depends on the weather . apply hot oil and massage hair and then wash it off after one hour.
the results will be good.

There are a few products that can temporarily cure your split ends by sealing and coating the split ends and smoothing them down. However, as soon as your hair is washed or brushed, they will re-appear. Intensive conditioning treatments offer a temporary solution by reconstructing the hair shaft.
But the only real solution for split ends is simply to avoid them.

How to avoid split ends:

· Do not brush your hair when it's wet. Wet hair stretches up to 25% and is most venerable. Use a wide tooth comb to gently de-tangle your hair.
· Heated appliances such as hair dryers and straightening irons can dry out your hair and make it brittle. Avoid these appliances as much as possible. If you have to use them, use a protective product.
· Let your hair dry naturally whenever you can; have a day, perhaps Sunday where you don't blow dry your hair, use product or straighten your hair.
· Rather than towel drying your hair, try to blot it gently instead.
· Avoid using rubber bands to tie up your hair. Use covered elastic bands, preferably the ones without the metal, as these can pull and tear your hair.
Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Your health and diet can affect your hair condition - a low fat diet can cause dull, dry hair which will split faster because there is not enough lubrication on the hair follicle
