Home made Sikhakai powder

Hi ,

After seeing many threads here , i thought to prepare shikakai powder in home itself . It is good for hair also and i am using it for past one month . Let me see for the good changes hopefully.

Ingredients which i used

1. Shikakai 1 full packet
2.fenugreek 1 packet ( for coolness)
3.pasipayaru 1 "
4.rose petals
5.Hibiscus flowers and leaves .
6.Kadla paruppu some
7.Arisi some
8. From flower shop , the remaing of the flowers like thulsi , marikolundu etc were dried
9. black pepper some ( to avoid dandruff)

My mom has prepared it for one year actually . I thought to share this with you all


All the ingredients were dried and powdered . Kindly see the photos .

 

Hi sara,

I will apply gingelly oil before some 15 minutes on hair . Then mix this powder with water in sufficient quantity and apply on hair . rinse . You wont get effect foam like shampoo but proper drying after washing the hair helps .

1. Acacia Concinna ( one full packet )

one packet ( say 100 gms each )
2.fenugreek
3.green dhal
4.bengal gram
5.pepper

6.rose petals
7.Hibiscus flowers and leaves
8.Rice

Hi moha ,

Yes it is a good suggestion . We can dry some neem leaves. Even it is good to avoid dandruff as i have heard. It cures many burns in our head also and thats why during pox , they use it to apply the neem paste on heads.
