DMV Driver's License In California - Test papers

Hi,
I'm from California and on a H4 Visa. There are actually 12 sets of DMV question papers only. I have about 6 sets of them. If anybody is applying for Drivers license in California, I'll send you the question papers. You can also circulate it to your friends.

This is just a thought, so don't take offence. Wouldn't it be safer for all concerned if instead of preparing for the test, you prepared for driving with full knowledge of all the rules and regulations as required by law? This means studying the prescribed manual thorougly instead of just going through questions and answers that will definitely be there on the test.

There is a chance that all the material you need to know will be covered if you go through the 12 tests, but there are full explanations and guidelines (as opposed to just questions and answers) in the driving manual that were specifically designed to ensure people are fully prepared for DRIVING (not just taking written tests). Call me a stickler for rules, but what you are doing (circulating test papers) seems slightly irregular to me.

The system is there for a reason, and at the end of the day, who are we really short-changing by trying to beat it? I'm also curious as to how you came by these test papers, because to my knowledge, they are not freely available (and for good reason). I know no one on this thread has explicitly stated that they were NOT going to read the manual, but that it my underlying reading of this whole situation. Please correct me if I am wrong. I want to be wrong, because I'd hate to think there are drivers out there sharing the road with me who have studied test papers instead of the rules.
