Hi dear,

I guess iam sailing in the same boat. I have applied for MS and I have a 23 month old. while the thought of it was dreadful at the beginning but i now feel that the best way to deal with the dilemna is ignore the fear factor. Just do it!!!
Its all in the mind i guess but if we worry abt it it will only get worse.

Hi,

When I started my online MS , my baby was 13 months old and I used to study whenever she sleeps ( 2 hrs in the morning, 2 hrs during day time and 2 hrs during night.)

Hope this helps.

Hi ,

I passed my MCA in 2003,got married same year and came here .I had boy in october-2004 .I have a 2.5year boy now.I tried applying for H-1B visa this time.My sponsorer didnt send me the list of documents which he needed from me before 2nd April. He emailed me on 2nd april asking for the documents and no use..I sent but..not use..Finally I missed..

Now the question of what to do sitting at home ????????My husband suggests me to change my h4 visa to f1 visa ,do my MS here in USA so that i can get H-1b visa easily since there are more opportunities for the people who earned masters degree from USA.

So if anyone can suggest me here:Iam scared to give GRE exam..having a naughty kid,how can i prepare for that..Is there any facility wherein we can convert to f1 visa and study MS here without giving GRE exam.?????Or any other education which can be done on f1 visa and which would fetch me h-1bvisa atleast next year..

Plz suggest me friends..Iam in hurry now..

awaiting for ur golden suggestions,
vaishu

Ladies,
I apprecaite the fact that you all want to pursue MS after childbirth. Do you guys have some support system, like can you have your mothers or MILs here ? You cannot compromise on taking care of kid. I am sure you all might have considered this option. Or if there are any day care centres or if u have distant friends whom you can pay for hourly care, that s a great option too.

An MS will give you lots of exposure, career and money. So just dogheadedly pursue this ambition. Imagine 10 years from now. You do want to stand on your own legs. The smell of independence financial and otherwise, is too good. If you stay strong with the goal, the solution will take birth, something suitable to you. Remember it's only 2 years sacrifice which will be so so beneficial.

If MS is just an option among other ideas, evaluate them well. I mean you would like to work from home or do some back end jobs from home etc.
We women take people around us so seriously that we give up all of what we have, time, career etc...Something worth going for never comes without a price.

I may not perfectly empathize with you all, but all that I can tell you is, make sure your career doesnt take backseat too long. Your older self will thank you for the steps you take now.
