    I hope you get to connect someone from IL community in Houston.


    In the meanwhile try contacting/visiting nearby temples/churches/your religious institution or Tamil Sangam/Telugu Association/Indian Association/ YMCA where you can meet Indians and make friends. You may have to initiate the conversation, but it is worth a try.

    One more tip
    Just mingle with non H4 and be open minded. Consider not labeling yourself as H4. H4 is just a temporary status and NOT your identity. I have been there about 16 years ago and am speaking with my experience.
