What's latest on H1B Quota?

H4 Ladies,

I started this thread as a way to keep us informed about the latest in H1B visa quota situation. I know that many folks like me are waiting to have the H1B quota expanded so that we can start working.

Much of H1B visa news comes in the form of news articles. So, just a word of caution. Let's not post long news articles here as many ladies don't read it anyway. If we read an informative article, let's post the main point of the article here and a link if possible.

Looks like the topic of increasing H1B Visa quota came up during Bush's recent visit to India. While he hinted that they are actively looking at it, he made no promises..

A senate bill to double the number of H1B visa quotas from 65,000 to 115,000 looks less likely to pass.
