Voluntary work/Community work on H4?

I m a new member n really found this thing interesting whr u share each others experiences.i gt married recently n since striving hard to keep gng with my H4 visa status.Ladies plz i wan to knw more abt this volunteering jobs as i m really keen to work.Back in india i hd a stable career n good job in finance industry.'ll u plz help me in finding out or providing me wid details of dis volunteering jobs.I hd searched for a volunteering job in non profit organisation bt i dunno wht employment requirement it hs...i need guidance n suggestions...

I was sitting at home for a year not knowing what to do and whom to approach for voluntary work(though I did utilise that time for other constructive things).

I wish I had bumped into this site earlier.You people are soo full of information and ideas.

But now I have a small kid who keeps me busy all day and I am extremely happy.
I guess I will do voluntary work after he joins preschool.

Try to contact your local community college or school or library as they will have lot of such opprotunities.

You can try volunteering in your local community. Try to google and you will have many options. I have heard of virtual volunteering but not sure what it is and whether it can be done in your field.

Hey Thanx Happy Woman and Saahitya !! Finally I got someone to answer to my question. I had posted it in March when I had just joined and was dissapointed that I didnt get any responses.. Started searching myself as you said in google and
world wide web !!! Managed to speak to dental schools and few dentists around my area. May start work in due course of time. Either there is no public transport to that place or the office is too far Hard luck.. But I guess something will zero down by next week.. Thank You so much.. Will check the link even !
